Biofertilizers
Biofertilizers are products whose active ingredient is a living microorganism (bacteria, fungi, or algae) that when applied to soil, seeds, or plant surfaces, colonize the rhizosphere or the plant itself and make nutrients available to plants. They fix atmospheric nitrogen, solubilize phosphorus, or improve root access to nutrients already present in the soil. The category includes nitrogen fixers, phosphate solubilizers, and mycorrhizal inoculants.
